Pre-collection Autumn/Winter 2011-2012
Chanel Metiers D’Art Pre-Fall collection. Each year, Karl Lagerfeld selects a culture and folklore from a different country to inspire his pre-fall collection and this year he was inspired by Byzantium because of Coco Chanel’s love of Byzantine-style jewelry.
….The show took place yesterday December 7th, in Paris in the legendary salons of haute couture Chanel Rue Cambon, restricted only to some members of the press, buyers and the most loyal customers maison.
The collection is very sophisticated ,elegant, with precious embroidery details and couture inspired by Byzantine art….
