Feminine, sophisticated and extremely elegant looks walked down the runway in Christian Dior’s latest fashion show presented yesterday during Paris Fashion Week for the Spring/Summer 2012 season. Bill Gaytten came out with a series of classic designs straight out of the 40’s when the fashion house was founded, including monochromatic shifts, over-the-knee skirt suits or floor length gowns.
With a major fashion statement from the beginning the Dior Spring/Summer 2012 Collection accentuated a refine glamorous style, mixing classic silhouettes with full knee length skirts, organza blouses and rounded necklines, sheer fabrics, silk ,lace and tulle, a color palette dominated mostly by red, beige or black and various prints from mosaic-like to herringbone and stripe patterns.
The use of accessories take this collection over the top and makes it exceedingly unique. Stylish bags and clutch, fabulous hats or high heeled sandals are just a few items that take Christian Dior’s collection to another level.
